The newly redesigned 2017 Ford Super Duty is here and features an aluminum body and much more.
The new models have reduced weight but with a better productivity than even its predecessor. It has better towing and payload capability.
The 2017 Super Duty offers 3 cab configurations i.e. Regular, SuperCab and SuperCrew. The SuperCab comes with a suicide-style rear door which opens up 170 degrees. The SuperCab and SuperCrew have flat rear floors and foldable bench seats which allow one to expand cargo capacity.
The exterior design of the new Super Duty is based on the Atlas Concept and is more aggressive, elegant, and very powerful. To start with, the Super Duty body is built with military grade aluminum meaning it has a reduced total weight; actually, it is around 350 pounds lighter than the current model. This reduction leads to a better fuel economy. Overall, the truck has a boxy look riddled with smooth body lines that make it look stylish.
The front fascia has a redesigned grille integrated with a Ford logo in the middle. The bumper has also been redesigned to look bolder and has been hooked up with new fog lights. Headlights too have been redesigned and will feature LED technology. At the rear, the truck features new taillights and a modified exhaust system. The Super Duty will ride on 17, 18 and 20-inch wheels backed by a strong suspension making it ideal for off-road performance.
